Tino reka te kai!

How lucky are we to have such awesome lunches at Ōtaki School!! We had butter chicken for lunch today! Tino reka! Thank you to all whānau who are supporting our healthy food kaupapa! Morning tea - a sandwich and a piece of fruit. Perfect for growing bodies and brains! Water only e te whānau! All the classes in Matariki have fruit/vegetables as they come in from lunch. Ngā mihi mō ō koutou tautoko- together we can achieve great things for our tamariki!

Korean War Veterans

This week we had the annual visit from the army, the Korean War Veterens, and a group from the Korean Embassy. We always look forward to welcoming this groups to our kura. There is a warm relationship that has grown over the many years we have met together. Ngā tamariki particularly enjoy the visit from the army and the vehicles they bring.

Term 3!

We’ve come to the end of the first week back for Term 3! It has been wonderful to see tamariki back well rested and ready for learning in the new term!
